shadow

taken during the day in a Belgium Monastery and I like the way the shadow seems to grow from the middle of the corridor, only checked by the light at each end of the ‘tunnel’.

not sure this is my best shot of 2012 … but it’s one of my favourite, and it’s not everyday you can be safely in such a unique place to take such a shot …. don’t try this at home!
Taken at Birchington in Kent.

This weeks theme over at Photo Friday is ‘men’.

I took this a little while ago when we spent a lazy Sunday afternoon at Greenwich Park.
LOts of mazing things happen here, but on this Sunday this group of men had made rockets out of used lemonade bottles and stuff like that. It was quite entertaining watching their efforts at launching them.

changing seasons

this was taken on my pre-ordination retreat in September 2008 in a Kent village as I ‘retreat-fully wandered’.
We were definitely in a different season when we drove up to these to be served.
The garage had long gone … just these two pumps remained, maybe as a reminder of seasons past.
